They stopped making Antique Yellow Pine

“There were approximately 80,000,000 acres of these trees and almost all were gone by 1900.” ~From woodweb.com

I’d been wanting to add a new wood to the Perfect Wood Grain Master course.

My research led me to pictures of this incredible species and that was that, I had to paint it and teach it!

At its most basic level, this wood can be painted quickly, with a minimum of brush and tool use.

But don’t be surprised when you find the advanced techniques irresistible.

You’ll learn basic knots and grain, flowing heart grain, deep red tone layers, advanced angle knots and flares and much more!

The rare and scarce nature of this wood make it a dead ringer for professionals,as clients will need it painted and matched when none can be found.
